Why should You Join?

People join political groups for many reasons. Some people join because of ideology, family history, or because an event, issue or person has affected them in such a way that they no longer can stand by; they are compelled to act to advocate. Whatever your reason is, the SDDC in concert with FCDC works hard to be the party of inclusion. Whether you are a centrist or a progressive, you will find a home with the Springfield District Democratic Committee.

Who is eligible to become a member of the Springfield Democrats?
​
You must be a resident of the Springfield Magisterial District of the County of Fairfax, Virginia. Members do not have to be registered voters, and there is no restriction on age. High school students who have been active, enthusiastic volunteers have been elected to FCDC membership. For a copy of the FCDC Bylaws, click here.​​​​
