WE NEED POLL VOLUNTEERS ON APRIL 21!
Several of our precincts have few or NO VOLUNTEERS for April 21st. It’s not a state or federal holiday that day, so we are especially short-handed.
This redistricting vote depends on voters understanding why they need to Vote Yes. People are very confused after receiving misleading mailers from the other campaign. Having our people outside the polling places to clear up that confusion can make or break this vote.
If you’re working that day, you can still volunteer by setting up in the morning or breaking down after 7 pm. That’s actually a huge help for us!
We wish this vote weren’t necessary, but we can’t just stand by and do nothing. Make a difference for Virginia and the rest of the country by volunteering on April 21st. Here are the locations we need people the most:
Centerpointe Precinct (Herrity Building)
Cherry Run Elementary School
Willow Springs Elementary School
Pohick Precinct (St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church)
Popes Head (Living Savior Lutheran Church)
Silverbrook Elementary School
White Oaks Elementary School
Fountainhead Precinct (Christ Church)
Parkway Precinct (Burke Community Church)
Remember that middle and high schoolers can receive volunteer hours for poll volunteering!
Postcards are done...
but you can still text!
If knocking doors isn't your thing, try texting! Text banking is a quick, high-impact volunteer opportunity that can be done from the comfort of your couch. Text banking helps the VOTE YES campaign reach voters who can't be reached by canvassing, remind people of how and when they can vote, and follow up with absentee voters who still have ballots. All you need is 30 minutes and a computer! All messages are sent via a computer program (not your cell phone) and are anonymous.
