About the Blue BBQ

Come hungry and dive into our ultimate all-you-can-eat buffet, featuring mouthwatering homemade BBQ, perfectly grilled chicken, and a massive spread of savory sides and decadent desserts. With plenty of delicious vegan and vegetarian options available as well, there is truly something for everyone to enjoy at this incredible countryside feast!
All of the money raised allows Springfield District Democratic Committee help local Democrats get elected. From tents and tables for our poll volunteers to financial donations to candidates and elected officials and everything in between, this annual fundraiser is what keeps us running. Come out and support us so that we can continue to support Democrats in your community.
Member/Volunteer of the Year Nominations
Every year at our annual Blue BBQ, we recognize the outstanding efforts of those in the SDDC community with our Member of the Year and Volunteer of the Year awards! Nominate someone below by selecting the applicable award, supplying your nominee's name, and provide your reason. Please be as detailed as possible regarding your reason, so we know ALL of the things that make your nominee so great. All nominations are confidential. DEADLINE IS APRIL 20, 2026.
