Who Are We?
The Springfield Democrats are a part of the Fairfax Democrats parent committee, and our main goal is to elect Democrats at the county, state, and national levels. However, we also prioritize building connections and volunteering within our own magisterial district. We believe that people are more likely to get involved when they can connect with others who share their values within their own community.
What Do We Do?
We are a group of passionate individuals who strive to make a positive impact through our electoral activities! Our focus extends from the local to the state and nationwide levels, but our heart lies in our local magisterial District where we connect with like-minded neighbors. We take pride in recruiting and training volunteers who are ready to hit the ground running when candidates need staffing. We thoroughly enjoy canvassing, phone banking, and writing postcards leading up to and during Election Day. On Election Day, we are energized and excited to hand out sample ballots and connect voters with legal help if needed. We also have a great time engaging in community activities such as school supply drives and road cleanups multiple times a year. Let's join forces and make a difference together!
Our Leadership Team
Our Leadership Team guides the daily operations of the Springfield District Democrats, organizing and assisting with canvasses and lit drops, organizing our presence on Election Day, and helping volunteers and members find their place within the Springfield Dems and the larger Fairfax Democrats.
